The Didgeridoo is one of the oldest wind instruments that is still being used today. The oldest records of people playing the didgeridoo date back 2000 years in the Northern Territory caves and rock paintings. The playing of the didge came to North America about 30 years ago. We are now seeing the use of the didgeridoo in musical stylings that cross many genres due to the rich harmonics and subtilties. In 2006 the British Medical Journal published a study that showed that practicing the didgeridoo helps stop snoring as well as daytime fatigue. They were also able to show that just playing for 25 minutes a day helps people with sleep apnea. To see the study please press here.
